Program Coordinator-Havana, Cuba

IFSA-Butler is seeking a program poordinator for our Havana, Cuba location. This position is a full-time, entry-level position and reports to the resident director for Cuba. The position will begin in August 2017 and the successful candidate will need to reside year-round in or near Vedado, Havana, Cuba. The program coordinator provides administrative support and assists the resident director with academic and student services support for both semester and short-term programs in Cuba. The position also assists with housing, emergency response, financial support and publications. Significant evening and weekend work is required to support IFSA-Butler students.

Essential Responsibilities

Institutional Representation

  • Liaise with local network of colleagues in the absence of the resident director
  • Support IFSA-Butler's general administrative interests
  • Understand liability issues faced by IFSA-Butler and comply with all US regulations
  • Serve as secondary resident director for select customized programs
Program Advisor Assistant

IFSA-Butler is seeking a Program Advisor Assistant. This is an entry-level position in the Student Services department reporting to the Associate Director of Student Services. The PAA is responsible for answering the main phone line directing callers to the appropriate person and advising students, parents and institutions about IFSA-Butler programs. The PAA will also provide administrative support and advising for custom programs and work closely with the Student Services assistant directors and program advisors on special projects and administrative tasks.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Answer main phone line, directing callers to appropriate departments and answering inquiries of students, parents and institutions about IFSA-Butler services and programs.
  • Provide administrative support and advising for custom programs.
  • Receive and upload all transcripts into the database.
  • Assist program advisors with application submissions and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Help assistant directors with special projects as needed.
  • Ensure the integrity of the participant data in the database system and paper files
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA regulations.
  • Ensure timely and organized delivery of information and materials to students, staff members, and university contacts.
  • Represent IFSA-Butler with accuracy and integrity.
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

IFSA-Butler is seeking a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Vice President and CFO is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the IFSA global operations. Additionally, the CFO must provide proactive leadership and coordination in the Strategic Business Planning, Controllership, Human Resources, Accounting, Treasury, Internal Control and Compliance efforts of the company across its US and foreign office study abroad program support locations.

Essential Responsibilities

Executive Management & Strategic Business Planning

  • Works with the President and CEO to assess organizational performance against both the company’s long-term strategy and the annual budget.  
  • Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the President and CEO and makes actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.  
  • Coordinates preparation of the company’s annual budget and mid-year revised forecast.  
  • Serves as a member of executive leadership team; participates in Board meetings and Foreign Currency Hedging sub-committee and Audit sub-committee meetings; participates in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.
